Thus far, it's been my very favorite Pahahniuk, which combines the perfect amount of darkness, comedy, and suicide to satisfy even the most henious of dark-comedy lovers (me included!)

Tender Branson has become one of my most favorite fictional characters of all time. He's my hero....

Description: As my very first Chuck Palahniuk novel, I was really caught off-guard when I read the contentAs my very first Chuck Palahniuk novel, I was really caught off-guard when I read the content in Diary. It was rough and brutal, and above all, entirely creative and the massive dose of fiction that I had been craving for YEARS.

Some wouldn't recommend Diary for first time Palahniuk readers, but I wouldn't be one to knock it off so easily. Misty Wilmonts character isn't only pessimistically funny, but she also has a soul to her - something most Palahniuk characters don't seem to have. Despite that, the story still has a decently happy ending.

Just don't read the last page until the very end. For serious, hey?...
