That being said, it might come across as too gimmicky and postmodern for some. I thought it was playful and that if Eggers wanted to be gratuitously self-referrential that it was indulgent but also hilarious and something I could relate to.
It is interesting now too as the autobiography of someone who has been involved in McSweeny's, which puts out some of the most highly imaginative packaging and sub-cultural fiction today. ...
