I think the buzz came, however, from a group of people who like different types of books than I. It was an interesting mystery, with some interesting characters, but I didn't find it remarkable in any sense. There was something lost in the translation, the English prose was often stiff and unwieldy. And the author had an irritating habit of giving much too specific detail about computer equipment, I had to wonder if he had been paid off by Apple. I'm not sorry I read it, but I didn't find it nearly as engrossing as most....

He creates a very detailed world, built on familiar historical concepts but having a life of its own. The story is slow-paced, interwoven and intricate. The plot is not exactly driving or captivating, the characters are well written but they're not exactly the allure either, it somehow just all works together well. I will definitely continue the series and probably more by Kay....

Description: I thought this was a very satisfactory ending to the trilogy. At the ending of book two II thought this was a very satisfactory ending to the trilogy. At the ending of book two I was worried about how much was left to be done and whether it would seem either rushed or all too easy. But Hearn wrapped things up nicely with a mix of triumph and tragedy. What I liked the most was the way she laid groundwork for the future beyond the trilogy without giving the impression she was just setting up sequels. It made the world feel very lived in....
