Description: Although there are some strong characters in there, the book is just too damn long. It'sAlthough there are some strong characters in there, the book is just too damn long. It's very disappointing to read through 800 pages for only one of the many threads resolved. This is why so many fantasy books are poor. The authors are trying to sell 3-5 books with one story, so everything is just dragging along....

Description: After the terrible "Prey", I was hoping a return to form from Crichton. UnfortunatelyAfter the terrible "Prey", I was hoping a return to form from Crichton. Unfortunately this book is even worse. While "Prey" was somewhat like a bad but enjoyable action movie, this one I just couldn't finish. The characters are either bumbling fools, never spotting the obvious clues, or cool-as-ice agents. Frustrating, and bland book....
