Night and Day
Well I suppose you could call this book a love story. One of the main characters of the book is Kathrine Hilbery. Katherine is the granddaughter of a famous English poet and she is engaged to a boring poet wannabe. Contrasted with Katherine is her friend Mary Dachett who works for the Women’s Right Movement. Katherine lives in her own apartment and is happy with her career although she is in love with a man, who is in love with another. This man is Ralph Denham who comes from a lower income family and has become relatively successful in life.
This is the first Virginia Woolf book that I have read and I am not quite sure if I would read another one of her books. I liked the book, yet it did not inspire me to read more of Woolf’s novels.
