A Prayer for Owen Meany
Definitely in my top-10 books of all time. What do I love about Owen Meany? I love the characters. I love how the Mother dresses--if black and white is good enough for her (and Einstein) it's good enough for me. Perhaps most of all, I love Owen Meany. I love his sense of purpose. I love his clarity of thought. I love his dedication to others and his belief in God. Meany/Irving inspires me. I have to say that this is perhaps the only book that I read and re-read. I visit it every summer. Love it. Love it. Love it.
