This is a heartbreaking work, and is a very self-aware novel. It is excellent story-telling and was enjoyable to read for structure alone. Skip the crazy intro stuff. It is there to suck in people who can't help but read the crazy intro stuff. Hilarious. That is the tone of the novel. Making the tragic and mundane hilarious.
