Saving Fish from Drowning
This is the story of twelve friends who go on a planned tour of China and Myanmar despite the death of the tour leader, Bibi. They get in over their heads both in China as they unknowingly break cultural rules and in Burma (Myanmar) as they unwittingly become pawns in a political and cultural war between a Burmese tribe and the military government. Throughout the tourists' ordeal, Bibi, now a ghost, translates much of the action and the thinking of the participants.
