Do you really think 7th book will be the last one? I doubt...

I didn't say anywhere that I think the 7th book will be the last. But, since you asked, I think there will be somewhere between 1 and 3 more books.

I think I read somewhere that Rowling stated the seventh was definitely going to be the last book if everything turns out the way she has planned it.. In saying that however, with the following Harry has worldwide I would expect the possibility of some soft of spinoff, either by Rowling or writers licensed to use the Potter name.

Yeah, I think the seventh would be the last. However, I think she said she might put out a sort of Harry Potter encyclopedia type of book, all about things in the wizarding world. I've also heard that she probably won't write anymore fantasy. You could probably find all of that on mugglenet (http://www.mugglenet.com/jkr/interviews).

The 7th will be the last..you know why? Because Rowling has already made tons of money and she is pretty anxious to retire. I mean, if you are worth so much money, why work? If she really did care about her fans she would make more books. But frankly, I do not think she has it in her from seeing certian interviews.

I think the 7th book, would be the last one. Simply because Potter must die there. And without Potter the series could not continue.

I think the seventh is the last one with Potter actually in it, after that she might invent his heir or something and let Potter play a role as the invisble mystirious helper from heaven..just to make some extramoney an stuff...

We know for a fact that the 7th book will be the last of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling said this herself. But when asked if she would ever write another book of the Harry Potter world, she said she might. I, personally, am hoping she will write a series on the Marauders era.
