The Horse Whisperer
Slightly above the grocery store novel, but not enough to be considered a really good read. The end was quite rubbish, too melodramatic. The writing at some points detracted from the story, though most of the time it wasn't actually painful to read. The characterization was quite good, especially that of the maimed girl, and the dialogue between her and her mother. However, at the end of this book I feel a bit disappointed, because I feel it could have been more. Overall, though, I am glad the author shared this imperfect novel with us.
