I studied the poet Christina Rosetti's long poem "Goblin Market" in an undergrad course on British literature. I was visiting my Brit. Lit. professor's house and saw this bio. on his shelves. I borrowed it from him and was fascinated to learn about the dynamic between the poetess and her brother, the famous painter Dante Gabriel Rosetti. The book is careful when it makes assertions about things that are not directly documented to state that they are tenitive theories about the author's life. She was a fascinating woman and this rich biography respectfully and thorouhgly explores her life in a way that it deserves to be investigated.
