The First Part Last
This is a twist on a story of teenage pregnancy. I think the “then” vs. “now” narrative style is very compelling because it reveals the story slowly and makes for a surprise at the ending. It also helps the reader to really understand Bobby’s decision better. I think it raises good questions for teens to consider. Bobby and Nia were not from bad home situations and were educated about sex. They just made the wrong decision. This is good for teens to consider.
