A bartender is bludgeoned to death and Eve gets the case. It turns out that the bartender is a cop, but no one at the bar knew that. If he was just trying to earn extra money to support his family, why did he keep his badge a secret? And what does IAB have to do with this? While I love these mysteries and watching Eve work, I really read them for Roarke. Oh, my!
