A Cavern of Black Ice
Although there are some strong characters in there, the book is just too damn long. It's very disappointing to read through 800 pages for only one of the many threads resolved. This is why so many fantasy books are poor. The authors are trying to sell 3-5 books with one story, so everything is just dragging along.
