I was really taken with _The Mount_ (see previous) and couldn't walk away without another Emshwiller. This one stood out because it inspired authors Murphy and Fowler to create the James Tiptree Jr. Memorial Award. Alice Sheldon was a serious influence on me when I was in high school, so this book had to be mine.
