It's all about what mean, lonely, emotional cripples people can be and how they can turn out children who are just like themselves.

Idiots who think comics are a genre rather than a medium should read stuff like this.

P.S. After finishing this, you should really read the author's afterword. It's very interesting and has a lot to do with the content of the book....

It breaks down the last few hundred years into periods and then covers major events in each. Attention is paid in particular to noting people, places, and things you may have heard of but may not remember or may never have learned about. The author earns extra points for not being shy about calling a bastard a bastard (e.g. when he talks about the worthless Senator McCarthy he's quite blunt, in contrast to some of the recent apologist tomes penned to try and defend him and his actions).

I read the first edition of this book but if you buy it today you'll get a new edition with a few corrections and new material....

A well written book that makes lots of cryptography that would likely be impenetrable to the average person simple enough to understand (or at least I thought so). I highly recommend this book as my only complaint about it was that it hadn't been revised to talk about more recent systems like elliptical curve encryption....

Description: All three of the science fiction books I read recently had an excellent premise or set of premisesAll three of the science fiction books I read recently had an excellent premise or set of premises upon which they were based. However all three books managed to put books of varying quality around those ideas. In my opinion the most successful was Jennifer Government. It isn't just an entertaining and at times funny look at brand identity taken to 11 on the dial, it is also an interesting read from beginning to end. I recommend this book pretty highly....
