It is hard to believe that this is Vincent's first book. At over 600 pages it would be easy to believe that Vincent was long-winded and disorganized, but this is not the case. The story flows and the back-story and were-cat history are smoothly introduced. The characters are all complete, not perfect, but perfectly human. I rarely reread books, but I'm going to put this on my shelf so I can read it again in a year or so....

I expected each sister to have a novella by a different author, but this book is a continuous story. It flows very easily from individual storyline to storyline. There is a strong flavor of the TV show "Charmed", but I found that more amusing than annoying. While the climax is a stretch, it did leave the opportunity for a sequel. Might have to check it out.

Rory is ostracized by the village that blames his family for their bad fortune. He will do anything to return the unicorn to the carousel and restore his family's honor.
The meeting of these two is alternately funny and annoying. The story is saved when we meet some unexpected relatives. Definitely not the best in the series, but it was fun.

Description: While I enjoyed reading about Ethan, Alexis and all of the others, I did find the charactersWhile I enjoyed reading about Ethan, Alexis and all of the others, I did find the characters over-the-top it a lot of ways. Ethan was Mr. Patient, Alexis was fighting anything that moved, and Brittany was sweet enough to make you nauseous. They approached, but didn't quite reach caricature level.
Having said that, the story was interesting enough that I really want to know what happens to all of them. So I'll be checking out the next book in this series.
