Moving, both for plot and the almost stream-of-conscious writing style. Also slightly futuristic, as it imagines London following a major terrorist attack that creates something resembling an Orwellian society.

In a horrible coincidence, Incendiary was released in the U.K. on July 7, 2005, the day of the terrorist attacks on the London transportation network. Another irony: The book's narrator seems unaware that Osama bin Laden, to whom she address the letters that form this novel, did spend time living in London and was, apparently, a fan of Arsenal.
