Takeo is set to fulfill his destiny by leading his army to war. He must survive at all cost and take what has been promised to him. But he must do this without his beloved Kaede, who is captured and may never see him again.

I'm sorry to say that by this book, the magic just faded. It seemed to drag on until the end. Still, a good ending.

Now in the hands of the Tribe, Takeo must play by their rules in order to survive and avenge the death of his father, Shiguru. And also to return to his beloved Kaede, who is now the mistress of her own property. She must cunningly and cleverly make her decisions in order to survive the powerful men around her.

Another good read, however, I felt like the story was stretching a bit.
