Lotman&#39;s analysis of the text (or theory of art, as in the artistic text) as a semiotic system subject to interpretive modelling and structural analysis. The core of the work contains a structural analysis of the poetic text on a range of levels and is followed by the problems arising in the analysis of the text in relationship to extra-textual structures.
