The story is impossible to put down. Although modeled in Tolkein's likeness to the extent that it's almost disturbing, the story makes it all okay.

He's never been able to leave the house or let anyone see him. But finally, with the hints of another third child in a house near his, the call to freedom becomes too strong, and he ventures into the unknown outdoors only to find himself thrown into a fight to free the third children from hiding. A very good book with an interesting concept base. Couldn't put it down.
